Privacy Policy

Keywords Ninja (hereinafter "Company") values users' personal information and complies with relevant laws and regulations, such as the "Personal Information Protection Act" and the "Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection." Through this Privacy Policy, the Company informs you of the purposes and methods of using the personal information provided by users and the measures taken to protect personal information.

Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information)

The Company processes personal information for the following purposes. Processed personal information is not used for purposes other than the following, and if the purpose of use changes, necessary measures such as obtaining separate consent will be implemented.

  1. Member Registration and Management: User identification and authentication according to membership service provision, prevention of illegal use of the service, various notices/notifications, grievance handling, etc.
  2. Service Provision: Provision of core functions such as keyword configuration, customized article collection status management (Watchroom/Library), curated and recommended content provision, AI-generated summaries and reports, bookmarks, and personalized settings (e.g. language preference).
  3. Notification Delivery: Delivery of keyword news reports to the email address (and, where the user configures it, messaging integrations such as Slack) according to the frequency, time, and language the user sets.
  4. Paid Service Preparation (Waitlist): Recording pre-registration (waitlist) interest in planned paid tiers for demand validation and, once paid tiers launch, contacting registered users about early-bird conditions.
  5. Service Improvement and Access Frequency Analysis: New service development, functional statistical analysis, preservation of statistical records on members' service usage, etc.
  6. Advertising: Display of third-party advertisements and measurement of their performance (see Article 5).

Article 2 (Items of Personal Information Processed and Collection Methods)

The Company collects the following personal information to operate the web service.

Article 3 (Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information)

The Company processes and retains personal information within the personal information retention and usage period under the laws or within the period agreed upon when collecting personal information from the user.

  1. Member Registration Information: Destroyed immediately upon withdrawal of membership. However, to prevent illegal use, identification information such as email may be temporarily stored for 30 days after withdrawal.
  2. Service Settings (keywords, bookmarks, notification settings, waitlist entries): Destroyed upon withdrawal of membership or upon the user's deletion within the Service.
  3. Service Usage Records and Logs (Protection of Communications Secrets Act): 3 months

Article 4 (Provision and Consignment to Third Parties)

In principle, the Company does not provide user's personal information to external parties. However, for stable service operation, the processing of personal information is consigned to, or handled through, external platforms as follows.

Article 5 (Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising)

  1. The Company uses cookies and browser storage (localStorage) to keep users logged in, remember language preference, and cache interface state. Users can refuse cookies via browser settings; in this case, some functions such as staying logged in may be limited.
  2. The Company uses Google Analytics (GA4) and Firebase Analytics to understand service usage. These tools collect pseudonymous usage data (page views, events, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser information) via cookies and similar technologies.
  3. The Service displays advertisements through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites. Users may opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.
  4. The Service contains affiliate links (e.g. Coupang Partners). Clicking such links moves the user to the partner's site, where the partner's own privacy policy applies; the Company does not pass any personal information of the user to the partner.

Article 6 (Rights, Obligations and Methods of Exercise of Users)

  1. Users can inquire about or modify their registered personal information at any time, and can request termination of membership (withdrawal of consent).
  2. To inquire about or modify personal information, use the settings menu within the service or contact the administrator in writing or by email, and we will take action without delay.
  3. If a user requests the correction of errors in personal information, the personal information will not be used or provided until the correction is completed.

Article 7 (Procedures and Methods of Destroying Personal Information)

In principle, the Company destroys personal information without delay when the purpose of processing personal information is achieved. For information in the form of electronic files, technical methods that cannot reproduce the records are used.

Article 8 (Privacy Officer and Grievance Handling)

The Company is responsible for taking overall charge of personal information processing tasks, and leaves the contact information below for the handling of user complaints and damage relief related to personal information processing.

  1. This Privacy Policy takes effect on July 19, 2026.
  2. Key changes from the previous version (effective March 22, 2026): service name updated to Keywords Ninja; collection items expanded to cover service settings (notification preferences, bookmarks, waitlist entries); new purposes added (notification delivery, waitlist, advertising); new Article 5 on cookies, analytics (GA4/Firebase), advertising (Google AdSense), and affiliate links; AI processing and email delivery added to third-party handling (Article 4).
